For £3 the shed is good value with all the exhibits in immaculate condition,the big plus though is the number of new angles you have to photograph from particularly allowing good shots of tender first engines as I hope the following show Sunday 20 April 2008: Due to varying circumstances the trip to the Llangiollen had to be cancelled so on a rather grey Sunday afternoon it was to Highley for my first look at the engine shed. The Welsh Highland were founded to restore the railway of that name between Porthmadog and Caernarfon but are now very much junior partners to the Ffestiniog Railway who took over (Some might say highjacked ) the project a few years ago.
